Good evening.

Edna Martin Christian Center just completed hosting its 7th annual Thanksgiving meal. The chef reported that we served approximately 350 people and more than 400 meals.

A big THANK YOU goes to members of First Baptist Church of Indianapolis for providing the food and serving the dinner. We also appreciate the many volunteers who helped this evening.

If you grew up in Indy and worked in the not-for-profit sector the Edna Martin Christian Center is a symbol of grassroots neighborhood support. I stopped by one morning to take a peek at their program and was not disappointed. I was met by my old friend Deputy Director of the Center Barato Britt who took me on a tour.
