As some of you remember our Rites of Passage classes have started and we are
very excited about them. One of the requirements is to do a service project
once a month. This month they had to choose one of our seniors home to clean and
spruce up the yard. They choose an 86 year old who had recently lost her only
son who was also her caregiver. After many “I don’t want to” comments they went over
and did a beautiful job. The children were surprised that they were able to do
something so small and make someone so happy. She will now become their
priority to take care of once a month.
We are trying to keep a close watch on all our seniors to make sure their needs
are met on a daily and weekly basic.
